A Christmas Story from Houston Llew

There's something about Christmas that brings us back to where we began. The glow of candles, the twinkle of lights, children dreaming of snow days and St. Nick. Each year, we adorn our tannenbaum with treasured ornaments, each holding memories of Christmases past. The gathering of family reminds us that the greatest gift was never beneath the tree. The gift has always been the love we share and the eternal flame of traditions passed from one generation to the next.

Some Christmases are filled with laughter and the playful spirit of Frosty. Others are quieter, when we miss someone who once sat beside us. Yet somehow, a familiar song or a little yuletide magic brings those memories close again. I believe that's the heart of Christmas.

And perhaps no moment captures that feeling quite like Christmas Eve.

As candles are lit and the familiar melody of Silent Night fills the air, the world seems to stand still. We remember a humble manger, the Star of Bethlehem shining like an aurora in the darkness, and the promise of hope that began so long ago.
