Artist Statement

The still, cool blue of a lake surrounds you. You've stopped paddling out into the water, and the sky holds a calm, clear view. In the middle of this lake, far away from everyday toils and cares, you are fully here and nowhere else. You forget time passing. Then, through the stillness you realize - this sense of peace in the present... it can be with you always - on a lake, at the table, while you work, and while you rest, because you can be fully present during those times, too.
