As a child, I was always drawn to the wildflowers in my rural backyard meadow, never touched by a mower. Queen Anne’s lace always fascinated me, in part because it towered over me. It seemed so powerful yet still appeared so delicate even as I hid deep within its heights. Lace in the Wild was inspired by this contrast between the delicate and the untamed, as well as the nostalgia of childhood that makes wildflowers magical.
